Local San Diego publication Pacific Magazine ran an article in its latest art issue that featured ten of the areas most creative artists. In its unique format in which one artist nominates the person that has inspired them the most, “Re: Creation” included Miki Iwasaki in its ranks. Nominated by San Diego artist Christopher Puzio, Miki discusses his art, his love for wood-working and what drives him as an educator and creative mind.
Pacific Magazine is a free publication and available at retail centers throughout San Diego. You can also find the full article here. If nothing else, check it out to see what the local art scene is producing, and maybe for a little dose of inspiration.
The San Diego Foundation is hosting a “Meet the Artist Event” featuring some of the grant recipients of its Creative Catalyst program. Come join us for our upcoming workshops at the New Children’s Museum! We’ve got three events planned over the next few months – all centered around the exploration of wind-generated power. Kids can learn the fundamental concepts behind wind generators, and be a part of the creative process as we design and prototype an installation at the museum. The first workshop is this Sunday February 23rd! Find more information and follow us on our project BLOG. Visit the Museum’s website for location information. http://www.thinkplaycreate.org/
