Union Tribune’s article covers mi-workshop’s latest installation. You can read about it, here.
Miki Iwasaki’s latest public art installation is complete! Located in the San Diego International Airport Terminal One Food Court, Astralgraph is an exploration in geometry and material, with inspiration taken from our local geography, cartography and navigation. Sensory perception was a large driving force behind the project which was designed to engage the travelers making their way through the airport.
Local San Diego publication Pacific Magazine ran an article in its latest art issue that featured ten of the areas most creative artists. In its unique format in which one artist nominates the person that has inspired them the most, “Re: Creation” included Miki Iwasaki in its ranks. Nominated by San Diego artist Christopher Puzio, Miki discusses his art, his love for wood-working and what drives him as an educator and creative mind.
Pacific Magazine is a free publication and available at retail centers throughout San Diego. You can also find the full article here. If nothing else, check it out to see what the local art scene is producing, and maybe for a little dose of inspiration.
